Legal backing for GBV cases in Niger state as Governor Abubakar Sani Bello signs into law

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello signs into law: 1. Violence Against Persons (prohibition) Law and for other connected matters thereto 2. Premarital Medical Examination in Niger State. The Violence Against Persons (prohibition) Law and for other connected matters thereto will help curb the increasing cases of Gender Based Violence in the state and give room for proper legal actions to be taken against perpetrators. Our Founder Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello who is also the Chairperson of the Committee on Gender Based Violence in the State, in acclamation to the Governor for signing the two laws especially that of the Gender Based Violence said the Law will go along way in addressing all forms of Gender violence in Niger State.
