From the Founder's Desk

Every time a woman dies from pregnancy related complications, a big part of that society is broken and the pieces cannot be gathered and put back together.  For any community/society to thrive the women must be empowered to be able to achieve their full potential and this starts from the girl-child.

At RAiSE, we believe every woman has the right to have a child in an environment that is safe. We take a life cycle approach to our interventions and believe that educating a girl-child is the key to having empowered women who in turn are able to take good decisions that allow for healthy pregnancies and safe deliveries.  As such we aim at increasing the number of girls that are enrolled and retained in school to increase the literacy level of the women.

We also believe that healthy and educated women are more likely to be successful and we are committed to bringing out the potential of each woman.
RAiSE Foundation is a place where women are taught skills to enable them fend for themselves and their families and as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, maternal mortality is a subject that is of so much concern to me that having the Foundation as a platform to contribute my quota in tackling this problem is indeed a rare privilege that I cherish.

We are collaborating with many organizations and Foundations to reach the grassroots with our interventions and I am convinced that with the aid of more well-meaning people, we can improve the health of our women, educate our girls and empower our women.
I welcome you to be a part of The RAiSE Family today.
