Yesterday, we participated in the launch of the HPV vaccination rollout in Niger state, organized by the Niger State Ministry of Primary Health Care in collaboration with various partner agencies.

The HPV vaccine is crucial in preventing cervical cancer, as the Human Papilloma Virus is its primary cause. Administering a single dose of the vaccine to girls aged 9 to 14 is highly effective in the prevention of the disease.

This initiative aligns with Nigeria’s goal of being cervical cancer-free by 2030, as outlined in the WHO 90:70:90 Global Strategy for the elimination of cervical cancer.
