Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action: Together, We can end Cervical Cancer
Cervical Cancer Elimination is possible.
How?
- If young girls get vaccinated against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
- If women get Cervical screening
- If women who are diagnosed with precancerous lessons get treatment.
As part of the global efforts to eliminate Cervical cancer, our Founder Dr Amina Abubakar Bello who is also a member of the WHO expert Committee on the elimination of Cervical Cancer in Nigeria, talked on Badeggi Radio 90.1 FM station, Minna Niger State to sensitive the public on the need to eliminate cervical cancer.
During the radio talk which is tagged #TealTalk, she pointed out the huge impact and importance of early detection and how getting screened can help.
We have continued to push the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer as a public health problem through a series of awareness campaigns, getting women screened and supporting them with funds for treatment.
We hope that women take this seriously and get themselves checked for Cervical Cancer.
Cervical Cancer is preventable and treatable if detected early.
The message is simple, GET SCREENED
