RAiSE Foundation & Mainstream Foundation Empower 225 Women Through Cancer Screening and Awareness in Minna

At RAiSE Foundation, we believe that access to early detection and proper healthcare can be the difference between life and loss, especially when it comes to women’s health.
In a recent collaboration with Mainstream Foundation, we organized a medical outreach at Bosso Low-Cost Primary Healthcare Center in Minna. The focus: breast and cervical cancer screening, two of the most common yet preventable causes of death among women.
Over the course of the outreach, 225 women were screened. Among them, 25 women were identified with varying health concerns requiring urgent attention. These cases are now receiving further diagnostic evaluation and medical support, with RAiSE Foundation stepping in to ensure no woman is left behind due to lack of access or affordability.
But our impact didn’t stop at screenings.
We also used this opportunity to engage the local community in meaningful conversations about:
The importance of paying attention to their bodies
- Recognizing early warning signs
- And the life-saving power of early detection
These simple but powerful messages could mean a future where more women detect cancer early and survive it.
We are grateful to Mainstream Foundation for partnering with us and to the Bosso Low-Cost PHC team for their warm reception and support.
This outreach is a part of our continued commitment to breaking barriers in women’s health—by taking services directly to the people who need them the most.
Together, we’re building a future where women not only survive, but thrive.
