Women in Niger State have been charged to see themselves as vanguards and ambassadors of Health care delivery in the State and their respective communities by ensuring full participation in all Health care programs and activities.
Wife of the executive Governor of Niger State and Founder Raise Foundation gave the charge at the official flag off ceremony of the first round June/July 2021 maternal Newborn and Child Health week and launch of IPV2 vaccine in the State held at Bosso central in Bosso Local Government area.
The State Government will on its part continue to collaborate with the state primary health care development agency to conduct health programmes for the benefit of women and children.
The maternal Newborn and child Health week has been institutionalized in the State through major interventions that have yielded verifiable results through the years, in efforts to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity.
The Federal Government has decided this year to adopt one of the best scientific global practices by introducing the in-activated polio vaccine into national immunization schedule. This will strengthen and sustain the success already recorded in polio eradication in Nigeria.
