WOMEN BEGIN SKILL ACQUISITION TRAINING AFTER SUCCESSFUL FISTULA SURGERY

20 women who had their obstetric fistula repairs in August are now fully recovered and begin training today.

The women are being taught how to produce basic household items such as Petroleum jelly, Disinfectants, Room freshers, Hair Cream and washing liquid.

They will also be given start up packs at the end of their training to enable them make production for sale, thereby generating income for themselves

We advocate for proper maternal care during pregnancy and delivery to cub obstetric fistula. Women should see it as paramount to visit healthcare facilities for Antenatal checks as well as childbirth.
